MR. AND MS. INTRAMURALS 2014: A DIFFERENT ONE

Beauty isn’t about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart and most importantly, a beautiful soul. The true essence of beauty is not seen in physical appearance but rather from the simple joy of making a difference for those who need your passion, dedication and time without expecting anything in return. So, I can say that this year’s Mr. and Ms. Intramurals candidates possess the true essence of beauty. But makes Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2014 a remarkable one?

This year’s Mr. and Ms. Intramurals is unique one because as what I have heard from the MC’s it is first time in the history of University of San Agustin that Mr. and Ms. Intramurals Event has their own stage wherein the candidates can invade and showcase the beauty, intelligence and talent they possess. This year’s theme is also different because they are using different kinds of native products in their production number and they look like what we called “katutubo”. They have that kind of theme because they want that this year’s Mr. and Ms. Intramurals will be somewhat different from previous and will mark as one of the unforgettable events in the history of University of San Agustin.

There are 9 pairs from different departments including the high school and grade school departments who compete to have the crown and be part of this remarkable event. But only two can have the title of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2014. And the lucky man is still from the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (CPMT) and the lucky girl is from the College of Education (COE). Mr. Intramurals 1st runner-up is from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and Ms. Intramurals 1st runner-up is from the College of Law. Mr. Intramurals 2nd runner-up is from the College of Management and Accountancy (CMA) and Ms. Intramurals 2nd runner-up is from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). Mr. Intramurals 3rd runner-up is from the College of Law and Ms. Intramurals 3rd runner-up is from the College of Management and Accountancy (CMA). And lastly, Mr. Intramurals 4th runner-up is from the College of Education (COE) and Ms. Intramurals 4th runner-up is from the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (CPMT).

The results are somewhat shocking because we expect that whoever gets many special awards will likely to win and this year’s Ms. Intramurals only get the best in sportswear but still she won the crown. But for me, she also deserves to win because sportswear has the greatest percentage in the criteria for judging.
